π¨Landscape texturing / masking
Since 1.2, you can now texture the landscape using rivers, lakes, roads, and biomes. The texturing is a mask using Runtime virtual Texture (RVT) so it's important to make sure it is well setup first.
In the first part of this section we will focus on explaining how it works with the included landscape material, and the last chapter will be about using it with your landscape material. To help you I will also bring two examples using Brushify and Dreamscape.
Important
It is also important to know that the material used to mask the biomes is not a classic landscape material so you can't convert a landscape material to be used as a mask for the biomes, only the landscape layers can be modified to be compatible.
