# Customizing the landscape

## Heightmap Generation

Calysto World can spawn heightmap stamps inside the **WorkZone** to quickly create natural landscape shapes.

Heightmap stamps help break the repetitive look of fully procedural terrain by adding larger authored landforms such as mountains, plains, terraces, and rocky areas.

### Stamp Settings

**Quantity**\
Number of heightmap stamps to spawn.

**Min Size**\
Minimum random size for each stamp.

**Max Size**\
Maximum random size for each stamp.

**Reset Area**\
When enabled, Calysto World clears the existing stamps inside the WorkZone before generating new ones.

When disabled, new stamps are added on top of the existing ones.

### Stamp Categories

The sliders on the right control the chance of each stamp category being used.

For example, increasing **Mountains** makes mountain stamps more likely to spawn, while lowering **Plains** makes plain stamps less common.

### Generate World

Click **Generate World** to spawn heightmap stamps using the current settings.

The **WorkZone** controls where the stamps are generated.

### Clear Buttons

**Clear Stamps in Work Zone**\
Removes only the stamps inside the current WorkZone.

**Clear All Stamps**\
Removes all heightmap stamps from the world.

### Custom Stamps

You can create your own heightmap stamp collections and add them to Calysto World.
