Preparing for future updates

PreviousQuick StartNextMassive Village Toolset

Last updated 10 months ago

Massive Village works a lot with databases to speed up your workflow but it's easy to lose it during an update if you work on the original database. For that reason, this will work with composite databases and is easy to use.

  1. Go into MassiveVillage/Data

  2. Duplicate DT_DemoFarm, DT_Cemetery, and DT_DemoVillage and rename the farm and village inside the data table it's important otherwise Massive Village will not see them, every name must be unique

  3. Open CDT_AllFarm and add your new farm duplicate

  4. Open CDT_AllVillage and add your new village duplicate

  5. Open CDT_Cemetery and add your new cemetery duplicate

  6. Keep your duplicate in a folder outside of MassiveVillage in case updating overrides the folder.

On each update, all you will have to do will be steps 3 and 4 and you are sure to never lose your database.
